As we enter a new school year, Ferrara Fiorenza is offering the Virtual Principal Academy: a nuts and bolts “how to” primer for new administrators, and a refresher/update for veteran administrators.
These sessions will focus on practical skills to assist principals and assistant principals to handle day to day issues in compliance with law.

Time: 3:15pm-4:00pm
The session will cover: The principal’s role when a student with disabilities is suspended for disciplinary reasons.
Other session dates and topics include:
• September 18: 2024: Steps to follow when a student is suspended from school (previously recorded)
• November 20, 2024: How to conduct a proper investigation, whether it’s a run-of-the-mill student infraction, a DASA complaint, or a Title IX allegation
• December 18, 2024: Understanding when to do a student property search without violating students’ rights
• January 15, 2025: How to write a legal and effective counseling memorandum
• February 26, 2025: Responding to parent issues from residency to custody to records
Each individual session is $100 per school district, or you can purchase all six sessions for $550.
