Position Description:
Attorneys in this position will provide legal counsel with respect to all aspects of school district and BOCES operations. The position will include research, writing, and providing counsel to clients. Attorneys may be involved in business and contract work, employment and student matters, administrative, State and Federal hearings, as well as in our expanding school construction practice area.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will be a member of the New York State Bar, possess a background in education law, strong writing and research skills, the ability to effectively communicate with and advocate for clients, and thrive in a collaborative work environment.
Salary Information:
The anticipated salary range for our advertised Associate Attorney positions, depending on education background, skills and experience is $80,000 to $125,000 (plus bonus opportunities ranging from $5,000 - $20,000 annually).

Job Description:
Attorneys in this position will primarily represent and assist in the representation of clients in State and Federal Court, and administrative proceedings. Based on the level of experience, we are seeking an attorney who will conduct investigation and discovery through trial preparation and court proceedings, including preparing discovery demands, conducting depositions, preparing motions and negotiating settlements, and representing clients at trial. Providing general advice and counsel to our clients will be part of this position as well.

Responsibilities:
Will work with several attorneys daily and manage your workload based on current demand.
Research and legal writing.
Assist with preparation for trials and administrative hearings.
Assist with lawyer legal presentations and in-service programs on various education and employment lay areas.
