Representation and counsel of school districts in matters involving student and employee discipline matters, including investigations and prosecutions in hearings involving Education Law 3214, Education Law 3020-a, and Civil Service Law Section 75.
Advising school districts in matters involving special education and students with disabilities, and advisement on matters related to Section 504 and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Representation and counsel of school districts involving tax certioraris and tax disputes, and property assessment issues including wind and solar PILOT agreements.
Providing counsel on matters related to employment and labor law, including defending clients in matters before the New York State Division of Human Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Providing training on a variety of areas for school personnel, including student discipline, the Dignity for All Students Act, and special education of students with disabilities.
Cameron is the author of Laws to Consider When an Employee has Employment Outside the District, New York State School Boards Association, On Board, July 2019, and often presents at Education Law conferences across New York State.
